I only knew Charlie from the times he and I would spend with Simon and Agnes, enjoying the music. What a ready smile and a welcoming manner he had! I am sorry we've lost such a vibrant person, and I'm deeply saddened for the loss you must feel as intimate family in his life.

To Charlies Family,
I am so saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. Although I did not know Charlie well, I was fortunate to have gotten to know him through the CIT meetings and I always enjoyed our conversations. As a parent advocate I could tell he was dedicated to the cause and he helped so much in training police officers to understand mental illness. He was such a gentleman and he will be missed by all who knew him. My prayers to his family.

We were shocked and saddened just today to hear of Charlie's bidding this earth goodbye! That most friendly welcome and genuine smile we'd receive when ever we'd meet - in recent years at the spaghetti dinners - will not leave our memory of your dear husband. Our hearts and prayers for God's comfort for you and the girls are especially with you now. We love you dearly.

Dearest Christel & Family--- Our deepest condolences on the loss of your closest friend. Charlie was a most honorable man who truly made a difference for so many people. He was a patient karate instructor with our youngest son, Jesse, a supportive and reassuring co-worker, and a great role model for young and old alike. We will miss him....

Charlie was a great guy and his dedication to the mental health world will be greatly missed. In recent years I was fortunate to work with Charlie frequently as he was a committed member our Crisis Intervention Board. He provided hours of training to police and law enforcement in Northampton County geared toward the better overall treatment of someone experiencing symptoms of their mental illness which rose to the level of police involvement. He was truly passionate about his craft.

Not so original, but: "I've seen fire, and I've seen rain, I've seen sunny days I thought would never end, but I always thought I'd see you again." Will miss you terribly. It was a privilege to know you.

Christel and Family. In all likelihood you won't remember me but I was a martial arts friend of Charlies a hundred years ago. I am deeply sorry to hear of his passing and extend my sympathies to you and your family as well. If it is at all possible I would be honored to attend any Celebration of his life that you have. Once again I am deeply sorry. Cook

Dear Christel,
It is with shock and deep sadness that I learned of the untimely passing of your beloved Charlie.
In the few short years I had the privilege of working with Charlie at Haven House, it was quickly apparent that he was a genuinely nice man. I will always remember the ease with which we could exchange ideas. He was astute, funny and warm.
I can only hope you and your family will cherish the times you had with him and dwell only on the happy events.
We canl all take comfort in having known him.
Sincerely,
Vic Messina
