Charles V.R. Dauerty

Charles V.R. Dauerty, 63, of Kempton, Pa. passed away at his residence on Monday evening, May 8, 2017.  He was the husband of Christel B.(Braun) Boyd for the last 42 years.  He was born in Philadelphia, a son of Charles V.R. Dauerty of Jonesboro, TN and the late Henriette (Walker) Dauerty.  Charles was the director of outpatient services for Step By Step of Allentown, Pa. He was also a black belt martial arts instructor at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethlehem, Pa. for many years. He was also the treasurer and board member of the Gabriel Chamber Ensemble of Orwigsburg, Pa.  In addition to his wife and father he is also survived by two daughters, Stefanie E., wife of Scott D. Nester of Kempton, and Christel M. wife of George Payne of Pottstown, Pa.; two sisters, Barbara Dauerty, Universal City, TX and Helene Dauerty, wife of Edward Randles, South Bend, IN; two brothers, Guy P. Dauerty and his spouse Norman Hanson of New York City, NY  and David (Cindy) Dauerty of Constantia, NY.

A Celebration of Life Service,for Charlie, will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Bear Crossing, 156 Indian Run Road, New Ringgold, Pa. 17960.
