William P. Daniels, Sr., 83 of New Tripoli, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli. He was the husband of June E. (Weiss) Daniels, having celebrated their 63rd wedding aniversary in July of 2015. He was born in Lynnport, Pa. a son of the late Claude and Fern (Heilman) Daniels. William was formerly employed as a welder and electrician at Mack Trucks, Inc., Allentown for 31 years retiring in 1986. During this time and later he worked on small engine and lawnmower repairing, operating out of his residence. He was a member of the New Tripoli Fire Co.; the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, New Tripoli, and the N.R.A. Survivors besides his wife includes a son William P. Daniels, Jr. and his wife Sandra, of New Tripoli; two grandsons, Eric and Steven Daniels and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters, Anna Rabert, Beatrice Babiak and Sandra Beers. His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, with a calling hour beginning at 9:30 AM. Pastor David L. Long will officiate. Interment will take place in Jacobs Union Cemetery, New Tripoli. In Lieu of flowers contributions, in his memory, are requested to the New Tripoli Fire Co., sent to the above funeral home address.
