I was deeply saddened when I read of the passing of Ed, Sr. I knew Ed from the Wilson Band as he played trombone and I played trumpet. Despite losing contact after H.S. graduation, there came re-acquaintance more than 20 years later when Ed, Jr. was pursuing an interest and possible career in meteorology. My heartfelt sympathy and prayer for God's blessing goes out to the Oswald family and to all who are deeply saddened by Ed's passing.

I knew Ed at Wilson High School when we were in the band and some classes together. It is also a memory for me of Ed taking trombone lessons from my father William Scheneman. After our graduation in 1974 we never saw each other again. But I want the family to know that Ed was such a nice guy and liked by many of his high school class.

Sincere & heartfelt condolences to the entire Oswald family. Ed was a very passionate and loving person, who loved being involved in dirt track racing. Ed was a crucial part of the racing success of both Randy and our son Mike Bailey. We had so many great times and memories during our friendship with Ed and his family. Our most memorable time with Ed had to be taping the famous "Wizard of Oz Hair Salon" commercial.......we will never forget. God Speed Ed and you & Mike can share some awesome stories as we will also. Love you Man! 🏁 🏁 🏁
