William H. Schroeder

William H. Schroeder, 66, of Kempton, PA, passed away on July 15, 2022 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Linda M. (Leslie) Schroeder, with whom he celebrated 41 years of marriage in August 2021. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Paul H. and Alice L. (Bachman) Schroeder. William worked as a carpenter for Kutztown University, for many years, until retiring in 2018. He was an active member of New Bethel Church in Kempton, having served as a former deacon, usher, and church board member. He was also a former member of the Kempton Volunteer Fire Dept. Truck Crew, Kempton Lions Club, and Kempton Boy Scouts. In addition to his devoted wife, Linda, he is survived by two sons, Randy R. (Heidi) Schroeder of Lenhartsville, and Michael P. (Amy) Schroeder of Whitehall; daughter, Katie M. Schroeder of Sunderland, MA; grandson, Layne Schroeder; sister, Sarah A. (Robert) Burns of Carlisle. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11 AM in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA 18066, with a calling hour to begin at 10 AM. Rev. Robert Ziehmer will officiate. Private interment in New Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the New Bethel Church Carpet Fund sent to 135 New Bethel Church Road Kempton, PA 19529 and/or The ALS Assn- Greater Philadelphia Chapter, sent c/o the funeral home.
