Timothy J. Betz

Timothy J. Betz, 76, of Catasauqua, PA passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA. He was the husband of Irene M. (Smith) Betz, having celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in April. He was born in Coplay, PA, a son of the late Edward and Anna (Sokasits) Betz.

Timothy was a Vietnam Veteran, having served his country in the US Army. Following his service to our country, Tim worked as a steel worker for Bethlehem Steel for many years. He was a member of the American Club of Coplay and was a lifetime member of the West Coplay Maennerchor. He enjoyed bowling and fishing, but especially cherished the times he had with his family.

In addition to his loving wife, Irene, survivors include his son, Scott T. Betz of Catasauqua, PA; daughters, Michelle K. (Joby) Bauer of Catasauqua, PA, and Erica I. (Michael) Brandi of Fogelsville, PA; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Tyler, and Jaxson. He was predeceased by his siblings, Phyllis Suranofsky, Edward Betz, Jr., and James Betz.  

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Central Catholic High School and/or Good Shepherd Catholic School sent c/o the funeral home - 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA 18066.
