Thomas Michak, Sr.

Thomas Michak, Sr., 83, formerly of Kempton, PA passed away at Kutztown Manor, Kutztown, PA on September 29, 2018. He was born in Allentown, PA, a son to the late William and Eva (Schmoyer) Michak.  Thomas was employed as a Boiler Maker for the former McDermotts Steel Company in Allentown, PA for over 30 years.  Survivors include a daughter, Linda D. wife of Robert Clark of Whitehall, PA; a son, Thomas (Susan) Michak, Jr. of Fogelsville, PA; sister, Pearl Leibensperger of Fleetwood, PA; three grandchildren, Allen Clark, Candace Michak and Amy Lynn Miller; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Shirley M. (Leibensperger) Michak, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Eva Reinhart and Shirley Gillet, and his grandson, Michael Richard Lackner. Thomas’s memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA 18066, with a calling period to begin at 10:00 AM. Rev. Gary Whittington will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent directly to the funeral home address above to help off-set Thomas’s final expenses.
