Stanley J. Wessner

Stanley J. Wessner, 87, of Kutztown, PA, passed away on September 29, 2023 at Willow Brook Rehab and Health Care Center in Kutztown, PA. He was the loving husband of Eleanor M. (Billig) Wessner, with whom he shared over 59 years of marriage. Born in Greenwich Township, PA, he was a son of the late Jonathan and Mabel (Burkert) Wessner.

Stanley was a 1953 graduate of Kutztown High School. He went on to become a self-employed Farmer in Greenwich Township.  Stanley also worked for the former Wenton Shoe Co. in Kutztown for 30 years and later worked for the former Martin’s Dairy Farm in Moselem Springs, PA. He was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Jerusalem Red Church in Kempton, PA. He was also a member of the Kutztown Fire Co. and a former member and officer of both the Kutztown and Kempton Rod and Gun Clubs.  Stanley greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Eleanor, he is survived by his son, Ricky S. (Rebecca) Wessner of Kutztown; two grandchildren, Kyle (Alyssa) Wessner and Neil Wessner; great-granddaughter, Felicity Wessner. He was predeceased by his siblings Edgar Wessner, Mary Conrad, and Anna Henry.   Stanley’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA. Calling hour to begin at 10:00 AM. Interment following service in Jerusalem Red Church Cemetery in Kempton. Rev. Robert Billig, Jr. will officiate.
