Shirley A. (Dietrich) Maurer

Shirley A. Maurer, 90, of Lititz, PA, formerly of New Tripoli, PA, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026 at United Zion Retirement Community in Lititz. She was the widow of Anton Maurer, who passed away in 2020.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rayfield and Ada (Mantz) Dietrich. Shirley was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School. She later owned and operated a health food shop at the Hometown Market until retiring in 1993.  

Shirley is survived by her loving son, Edwin (Joan) Wright of Nokomis, FL; daughter, Elaine (Bradley) Woodcraft of Newmanstown, PA; stepdaughter, Sharon (Edward) Steele of Lancaster, PA; sister, Linda Doaty of Birdsboro, PA; ten loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Glen Wright and stepson, Anthony Maurer.

Shirley’s funeral service will be on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 1 PM in the Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli. Calling hour begins at 12 PM until service time. Interment following funeral service in Jacob’s Union Cemetery, New Tripoli. Rev. Alan Reiman will officiate.
