Shirley A. (Frey) Hamm, 83, of Orefield, PA, passed away at home on February 9, 2025. She was the loving wife of Ray L. Hamm for over 66 years. Born in Lynnport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Madeline (Hermany) Frey.
Shirley worked as a customer service representative for Ehrlich Pest Control for 17 years until retiring in 1986. Prior to that, she worked for the former M.W. Wood Co. Processing Plant in Allentown, PA. She was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church in Orefield. She was also a member of the Northampton AARP and was a former member of the Tri-Clover Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, Ray, she is survived by her two sons, Roger R. Hamm and Ronald L. Hamm, both of Orefield, PA; grandchildren, Mandy Hamm, Ashley (Chris) Helsley, Kayleigh (Scott) Mcavoy, and Brittany (Heath) Longenbach; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Aliana, Annabelle, Emmett, Cora, and Tristan; great-great-grandson, Extion. Shirley was predeceased by her granddaughter, Heather Hamm, and her sister, Betty Hermany.
There will be a private celebration of life gathering held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shirley’s name may be made to Jordan Lutheran Church Memorial Fund and sent directly to 5103 Snowdrift Road Orefield, PA 18069.
