Richard J. Erickson

Richard J. Erickson, 48, of Slatington, PA passed away on May 3, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA. He was the husband of Laura A. (Bridges) Erickson, having celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on March 18, 2026.

Born in Mount Joy, PA, he was the son of the late Sven G. Erickson, Jr. and the late Patricia L. (Leugers) Erickson. A 1997 graduate of Parkland High School, he continued his education at Lehigh Carbon Community College in Schnecksville. He later worked as a dedicated courier for Sam Guido Laboratories in Neffs.

Richard will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and deep love for his family and faith. He faithfully attended men’s Bible study in Germansville and treasured the friendships and fellowship he found there.

In addition to his loving wife, Laura, he is survived by his son, Korbin Erickson of Addison, PA; daughter, Heather Erickson of Indiana, PA; brother, David A. (Kara) Erickson of Phoenix, AZ; as well as uncles, an aunt, several cousins, and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wendy McKenna.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memories and condolences be shared in Richard’s honor.
