Liebe Verwandschaft aus Amerika,
ich möchte euch von Herzen mein Beileid zum viel zu frühen Tod von Tante Paula mitteilen. Ich dufte sie bei ihrem letzten Deutschlandaufenthalt mit Tante Hedl zu Kaffee und Wagners Mohn- und Käsekuchen einladen. Sie bleibt mir von daher als warmherzige und lustige Tante in meiner Erinnerung.
Ich wünsche euch, dass ihr sie in euren Herzen als einen wertvollen Schatz bewahren könnt.

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. I have very fond memories of her (and all of you) from when we were all kids. She had such a big heart and a great sense of humor--and a ton of patience dealing with all of us girls in the neighborhood. = ). I know that all of you will help your dad and each other through this difficult time...

I offer my deepest sympathy to Russel, Karen, Alice, Susie and Ellen and the entire family on the passing of Paula.
I have fond memories from my late teens of Paula baking cookies or other activity to create a loving home environment. I remember a lot of laughter and always went home feeling happy. That is how I will remember Paula.
