Norma M. Pilgert, 84, of Kutztown, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, Pa. She was preceeded in death by her husband Russel H. Pilgert in 2003. She was born in Centre Township, Berks county a daughter of the late Mark I. and Margaret ( Dubble) Tobias. She was last employed as a clerk at Radcliffs IGA Market in Mertztown, Pa. for 20 years retiring in 1993. Prior to that she was an inspector at the former Keith Knitting Mill of Mertztown. Norma was a member of the Christian Congregation Church, Mertztown, Pa. She was also a member of the Lynnport Fire Co. She is survived by her daughter Connie M. Pilgert of Kutztown; a son Russel M. Pilgert and his wife Kim S. of Kempton, Pa.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and her companion Filbert “Butch” Grim of Kutztown. A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in St. Paul’s Union Cemetery of Mertztown, with Rev. Michael Combs officiating.
