Myrna E. (Frohnheiser) Kamp

Myrna E. Kamp, 87, of Kempton, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2026, at EverTrue Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of the late George P. “Pit” Kamp, who passed away in 1991. Born in Bowmanstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond G. and Lucreta M. (Frantz) Frohnheiser.

Myrna was a 1956 graduate of Lehighton High School. She worked at the Top Hat Cricket Farm in Kempton for many years before retiring. Above all, she treasured raising and caring for her family.

Myrna was a member of New Bethel Church in Kempton. She was a lifetime member of County Line 4X4 Rough Riders in Kempton and the Kempton Rod and Gun Club, where she volunteered in the kitchen for 40 years. She was also a member and former volunteer of Kempton Fire Co., Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, and the Kempton Community Center. Additionally, she was a member of the Kempton Red Hats.

Myrna is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary E. Kamp; daughter, Ellen A. (Michael) Angstadt of Kutztown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and extended family. She was predeceased by her son, Raymond W. Kamp, and her sister, Gloria E. Beltzner.

Myrna’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli. A calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at New Bethel Union Cemetery. Chaplain Benjamin Brown will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kempton Rod and Gun Club and/or Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, sent c/o the funeral home.
