Mildred M. (Sittler) Kunkel

Mildred M. Kunkel,  102, formerly of Kempton, Pa died on Friday, November 14, 2014 in the Kutztown Manor.  She was preceeded in death by her husband, George R. Kunkel in 1996.  She was born in New Tripoli, a daughter of the late Francis and Mary R. (Gildner) Sittler.  She and her husband were co-owners of a family farm in Albany Township, from 1940 to 1986.  She was the oldest member of the New Bethel Church, Kempton, Pa.  Survivors includes two sisters Mabel F. Heckler of Allentown and Anna M. wife of Merrit Smith of Kutztown, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sisters Marie R. Henry and Helen S. Follweiler.  Her funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Nester Funeral Home- 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa 18066, with a calling hour preceeding the service. Rev. David W. Blitch will officiate. Interment will take place in New Bethel Union Cemetery, Kempton, Pa.
