Marian E. Follweiler, 95, of Allentown, Pa. passed away peacefully on March 31st at the Phoebe Nursing Home, Allentown. Marian was the wife of the late Roger H. Follweiler. She was born in Allentown, a daughter of the late Edward S. and Minnie J. ( Follweiler) Hartman. She was a 1936 graduate of Allentown High School, and a 1940 graduate of Pennsylvania State University. She later returned to Allentown High School to teach Home Economics for many years. Marian continued her passions for sewing, cooking and gardening long into retirement. She was a member of Jacobs Church, New Tripoli, and a former member of Faith United Church of Christ, Allentown. Survivors includes two sons, Brent E. Follweiler of Foglesville, Pa. and Barry R. Follweiler of Allentown; grandchildren, Amy L. Murphy ( Thomas) of Flushing, NY, Brian Follweiler of Brooklyn, NY and Shayna Nagel, wife of Tony Cesa of Phila, Pa.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Jacobs Church 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery. Contributions in her memory are requested to Jacobs Church Memorial Fund, sent to above church address.
