Margaret Rose (Fenstermacher) Snyder, 71, of Kempton, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on June 27, 2026. She was the widow of the late Mark G. Snyder, who passed away on June 22, 2011. Born in Allentown, PA, Margaret was the daughter of the late Warren P. Fenstermacher and Margaret L.H. (Hamm) Fenstermacher.
A 1973 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, Margaret went on to attend Kutztown University, where she studied elementary education. Margaret was raised on her family's farm, where she developed a lifelong love of agriculture and country living. In its early years, the farm operated as a dairy farm, and she delighted in naming each of the cows. Over time, it became Pinnacle Pines Christmas Tree Farm in Kempton, a place that remained close to her heart throughout her life.
A talented homemaker, Margaret especially enjoyed cooking for her family, using recipes and traditions passed down from her mother and grandmother. She was an active member of the Kempton 4-H Club, where she shared her love of sewing and cooking with others in the community. Margaret was a faithful member of New Bethel UCC in Kempton, where she also served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Amiee Jo Snyder of Pittston, PA; her brother, Daniel R. Fenstermacher of Upper Macungie Township, PA; her devoted caregiver, Vanessa F. Stelzman; Vanessa's fiancé, David L. Mellott; and their daughter, Jade E. Mellott, with whom Margaret most recently resided. She is also survived by several cousins and two step-nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Charlotte Krasinkski.
