Litty A. (Reiner) Hado, 83, of Kempton, PA, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at Cornerstone Living in New Tripoli, PA. She was the loving wife of Dennis M. Hado, with whom she would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this January.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Herman K. and Luise (Loge) Reiner. Litty was a 1960 graduate of Union High School in Union, NJ, and later earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kean University in Union, NJ. She also accomplished completing a rigorous two-week wilderness survival course through Outward Bound.
Litty was a member of New Bethel Church in Kempton and a former member of Meyersville Presbyterian Church in Gillette, NJ. A skilled potter and talented artist in multiple facets, she was the owner of Top of the Barn Studio in Meyersville, NJ. She also co-owned and operated the former Hado Machinery, Inc. in South Plainfield, NJ.
In addition to her devoted husband, Dennis, she is survived by her daughter, Litty (Richard) Coury of Ormond Beach, FL; her son, Dennis R. Hado of South Plainfield, NJ; her grandchildren, Lacey Olejar and Lawrence D. Olejar, who lovingly referred to her as “Oma”; and her brother, Herman K. Reiner, Jr. (Ruth) of New Hope, PA.
There will be no formal services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Litty’s name may be made to Meyersville Presbyterian Church, 223 Hickory Tavern Road, Gillette, NJ 07933, and/or New Bethel Church, 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton, PA 19529.
