Linda J. Lutz

Linda J. Lutz, 80, of Topton, PA, formerly of Kempton, PA, passed away on January 20, 2022 at Topton Lutheran Home. She was the wife of Lester M. Lutz, with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage in June of 2021. Born in Allentown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Elwood C. and Rachael C. (Wertman) Wessner. Linda was a graduate of Kutztown High School. She was employed as a salesclerk for the former Acme Markets in Kutztown, PA. She was a member of Jacob’s Church in New Tripoli, and a former member of the New Bethel Church in Kempton. Linda was an avid quilter and seamstress. In addition to her loving husband, survivors include her daughters, Lisa Ann wife of Frederick Silver, Mt. Bethel, PA, and Louise L. wife of Edmund Haemmerle of Princeton Junction, NJ; son, Lloyd K. husband of Kimberly Lutz of Kempton, PA.; seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy J. Follweiler. Linda’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 3:00 PM in Jacob’s Church, 8373 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA 18066, with a calling period to begin at 2:00 PM. Interment in New Bethel Union Cemetery, Kempton, PA. Rev. Tad Schlegel will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Lupus Foundation at lupus.org.
