Kim E. Moriarty, 53, of Kempton, Pa passed away on Tuesday morning , Jan. 13, 2015 in St. Lukes Hospice House, Bethlehem, Pa. She was the wife of John J. Moriarty,IV. They celebrated their 11th. wedding aniversary in Sept. 2014. She was born in Allentown, a daughter of the late William J. and Darlene ( Lewis) Lloyd. Kim was a secretary and bookkeeper for Kempton Excavating Co., Inc. of Kempton, and she also worked at the Palmer Candy Co. in Reading, Pa. She formerly attended Northwestern High School, New Tripoli and was a current member of the Kempton Fire Co. She was of the protestant faith. Survivors besides her husband includes two daughters, Colleen, wife of David Hinkel, Ironton, Pa., Kristy Bowman, at home; three sons John J. Moriarty,V. and Daniel J., husband of Dr. Abbie ( Kunkel) Moriarty both of Kutztown, Pa. also Thomas J. Bowman, at home; a sister, Holly Lloyd of Northampton; two brothers, Brian R. ( Beverly) Lloyd of East Dublin, Georgia and Timothy A. ( Sandra) Lloyd of Dublin, Georgia and 9 grandchildren. She is also survived by two aunts; one uncle and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will begin at 10:00 AM on Sat. January 17, 2015 in the Nester Funeral Home- 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM.,with Rev. David W. Blitch officiating. Immediately following the service, everyone is cordially invited to attend a time of lunch and rememberance, at the Kempton Fire Co. (social hall), Rt. 143, Kempton, Pa. In Lieu of flowers , the family requests that contributions may be made in memory of Kim E. Moriarty, sent to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, Pa. 18017.
