Kermit C. Mantz, 92, of Germansville, PA. passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA. on October 24, 2020. Born in Lynn Township, PA., he was the son of the late Charles H. and Alverta V. (Delong) Mantz. He was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the US Army. Kermit worked as a die setter for the former Western Electric Co. in Allentown for many years until retiring in 1980. He was a member of Ebenezer U.C.C. Church in New Tripoli, PA. He was also an attending member of Grundsow Lodge #18 in Emerald, PA., and was well versed in the PA. Dutch dialect. Survivors include his daughter, Sheila L. (Jeffrey) Burkert of Germansville, PA., with who he last resided; sons, Michael K. Mantz of New Ringgold, PA., and Bryan D. (Cynthia) Mantz of Kutztown, PA., four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings Ernest and Carl Mantz. There will be a graveside service, with Military Honors, on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at 11:00 AM., on the Ebenezer Union Cemetery, 7293 Decatur St. New Tripoli, PA 18066. Rev. Walter Frisch will officiate.
