Jean M. (Panzarella) Conroy, 92, of Whitehall, PA., formerly of Allentown, PA., passed away in Fellowship Manor, Allentown, PA. on Saturday October 10, 2020. She was the wife of the late James J. Conroy who passed away in 1995. Born in Hazleton, PA., she was the daughter of the late Louis and Christine (Marcusky) Panzarella. Jean was an auxillary member of the VFW Post 7293 in Whitehall, PA. Survivors include two daughters, Jean C. Reckus of Schnecksville, PA., and Barbara (Arthur) Gussett, Hampton, VA.; son, Thomas J. Conroy, Allentown, PA.; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters, Christine Romanelli, Wyoming, PA., Leora Roots, AZ., Patricia Gorney, Clark Summit, PA., and Alice DeManicor, Hazle Township, PA.; brother, Thomas Panzarella, Glen Lyon, PA. She was predeceased by her son, Ronald J. Panzarella and her granddaughter, Nadia Conroy. There will be a private funeral service at the convenience of the family. Interment in Jacob’s Union Cemetery, New Tripoli, PA. Her nephew, Ronald DeManicor, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made out to the Wounded Warrior Project c/o the funeral home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA 18066.
