Jay W. Sacks, 89, of Topton, PA. passed away at the Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown, PA. on December 16, 2020. He was the loving husband of Joyce I. (Hartman) Sacks, with whom he celebrated 67 years of marriage in March 2020. Born in Klinesville, PA., he was the son of the late Ernest D. and Pearle (Miller) Sacks. Jay was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1950–1952. He was a carpenter for International Custom Built Homes in Chapmans, PA., until retiring in 1995. Jay was a member of Jacob’s Church in New Tripoli, PA. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his sons, Thomas L. (Sandy) Sacks of Schnecksville, PA., and Michael A. (Leanne) Sacks of Mertztown, PA.; daughters, Joan A. Anderson of Centerville, VA., and Donna J. Braner of Gilbertsville, PA.; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Jay was predeceased by a son, Dennis J. Sacks. There will be a celebration of life memorial service held in spring of 2021.
