Helen M. Ellison, 86, formerly of Allentown and Kempton, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Arden Courts, Allentown, Pa. She was the widow of Kenneth C. Ellison, who passed away in July 2007. She was born in Lynn Township, Pa. a daughter of the late Francis J. and Martha ( Kunkel) Smith. She last worked for the Bon Ton Stores, Inc., Allentown, Pa., retiring in 1989. Prior to that she was a self-employed beautician, working out of her former residence in Kempton. She was a 1945 Graduate of Slatington High School. Helen last attended Jacobs Church, New Tripoli. Survivors includes 2 sons, Dennis C. of Allentown and David K. and his wife Linda of Kempton ; grandchildren, Peter and John Ellison and a sister, Annie Wetzel of New Tripoli. She was predeceased by 14 siblings. Her Funeral service will be held on Sat. Nov. 9, 2013 at 10:30 AM in the Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway( Rt. 143), New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, with a calling hour beginning at 9:30 AM. Rev. Scott L. Shay , officiating. Interment in Friedens Luth. Cemetery, Stony Run, Pa.
