Harvey C. Stump

Harvey C. Stump, 86,  formerly of Shoemakersville, PA, passed away at Maidencreek Place, Reading, PA on December 16, 2020. He was the husband of the late Olive M. (Leiby) Stump, who died in 2006. Born in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Harvey E. Stump and Loretta W. (Bailey) Heintzelman. Harvey was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1955. He was a 1952 graduate of Kutztown High School and later worked as a truck driver for various companies. Harvey was a member of Friedens Church, Lenhartsville, PA and the Hamburg Fire Co. Survivors include his daughters, Eileen D. (Charles) Leiby of Hamburg, PA, and Janet M. Dissinger of West Reading, PA; son, Donald G. (Ann) Stump of Ashland, OH; daughter-in-law, Cindy Stump of Fleetwood, PA; grandchildren, Allen Leiby, Ashley, Rachel, Emily, Andrew, and Jacob Stump; brother, Kenneth F. (Barbara) Stump of Wiconisco, PA; and special friend Debbie Zweizig. He was predeceased by a son, David H. Stump in 2019. There will be a private graveside funeral service on Friedens UCC Cemetery, Lenhartsville, PA. Pastor Dennis Cooper will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Friedens Church, P.O. Box 221, Lenhartsville, PA 19534.
