Harry A. W. Gruber, 78, of New Tripoli, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. He was the husband of Bertha M. "Annie" Martin. Born in Lynn Township, he was the son of the late Henry A. and Jennie A.W. (Pfeifly) Gruber.
Harry was a 1964 graduate of Northwestern High School. He was a self-employed crop farmer in Lynn Township. Harry was a former Lynn Township supervisor during the 1990’s, and worked at the former A & B meat processing plant in Allentown. He was an auctioneer in New Tripoli for many years.
In addition to his loving wife, Bertha, he is survived by two sons, Jonathan (Amy) Gruber of Germansville and Benjamin (Mary Ann) Gruber of South Carolina; daughter, Amanda Gruber of New Jersey; stepdaughter, Mary Alice Barker and her husband, Gede Tirtayasa of Reading, PA; stepson, Todde Barker at home; six grandchildren; one step-granddaughter, Victoria Tirtayasa. He was predeceased by his brother, Henry A.W. Gruber.
Harry’s funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 11 AM at Jacob’s Church, 8373 Kings Highway New Tripoli. The calling hour will begin at 10 AM. Interment in adjoining cemetery immediately following the funeral service. Pastor Nathanael Naugle will officiate.
