Gail M. (Sander) Hamm

Gail M. (Sander) Hamm, 69, of Germansville, PA passed away on March 19, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA. She was the wife of Ryan L. Hamm for over 43 years. Born in Palmerton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold Sander, Sr., and the late Mary J. (Tusan) Sander.

Gail was a 1973 graduate of Palmerton High School. She was a bookkeeper and night-time bank teller for the former First National Bank in Palmerton. Gail was among the first to be trained on the new bank computer systems. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Palmerton.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her son, Daniel R. Hamm at home; daughter, Gabrielle M. (Brindan) Kistler of Kutztown, PA; brothers, Joseph (Cynthia) Sander of Slatington, PA, Gary (Rosa) Sander of Palmerton, PA, and Harold Sander, Jr. of St. Paul, VA; grandchildren, Henry, Hailey, and Evelyn Kistler.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue in Palmerton. A calling hour will begin at 10 AM. Father Michael Mullins will officiate. Interment in Jacob’s Union Cemetery in New Tripoli, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gail’s name may be made to Sacred Heart Church Memorial Fund, sent to her church.
