Florence P. (Gilbert) Fritz

Florence P. (Gilbert) Fritz, 100, of Andreas, PA. passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2021. She was married to the late Paul D. Fritz, who passed away in 1985. Born in Andreas, PA., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie (Brown) Gilbert. Florence worked alongside her husband on the family farm where she was born and where she entered into eternal rest. She was the oldest living member of Ben Salem U.C.C. Church in Lehighton, PA. Survivors include her son, Nevin P. Fritz, at home.; two granddaughters, Donna Kemfort and Tammy Dean; three great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter. Florence was predeceased by a son, Carl S. Fritz, grandson, Michael C. Fritz, and siblings Millard Gilbert, Mary Daubenspeck, Verna Messershmidt, and Emma Kemmerer. Florence’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike New Ringgold, PA. 17960. The family will receive friends the night before from 6:00-7:30PM and 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday.  Interment in Ben Salem U.C.C. Cemetery, Lehighton, PA. following service. Rev. Kent Rhodehamel will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Florence’s name may be made to Ben Salem U.C.C. Church sent to P.O. Box 128 Andreas, PA 18211 AND/OR St. Luke’s Hospice sent to 777 Blakeslee Blvd. Dr. E. Lehighton, PA 18235.
