Ethel J. (Fetherolf) Yezik

Ethel J. (Fetherolf) Yezik, 91, of Kunkletown, PA formerly of Slatington, PA, passed away on April 11, 2022 in Bush’s Personal Care Home, Kunkletown, PA. She was the widow of Thomas G. Yezik, who passed away in 2005. Born in Lynn Township, she was a daughter of the late Irwin and Verna (Follweiler) Fetherolf. Ethel was a 1948 graduate of Slatington High School. She was a member of Jacob’s Church in New Tripoli. She was also a dedicated attendee of the annual Slatington Berksy Reunion. Ethel was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her two sons, Timothy G. (Marjorie) Yezik of Slatington and James T. Yezik (Sherri Hawk) of Mertztown; daughter, Alice I. (Roger) Nissen of Slatington; six grandchildren, Sarah, Lucas, James, Amber, Chelcie and Briana; four great-grandchildren, Kherington, Reese, Kinsley and Brock; several nieces and nephews. Ethel was predeceased by her siblings Franklin Fetherolf, Margaret Hinkle, Ella Bennighoff and Alice Dietrich. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA 18066, with a calling hour to begin at 10:00 AM. Interment following service in Jacob’s Union Cemetery, New Tripoli. Rev. Tad Schlegel will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Jacob’s Church c/o funeral home address.
