Elva M. Kunkel 104, formerly of Lynnport and later Alburtis, Pa. Passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in the Kutztown Manor, Kutztown, Pa. She was preceeded in death by her huband William H. Kunkel in 1968. She was born in Albany Township, Pa. a daughter of the late Jacob and Annie ( Shollenberger) Knepper. She was the oldest member of Jacobs Church, New Tripoli, Pa.. She was also a member of the Lynnport Fire Co. Survivors includes a daughter Betty J. Rump, of Fleetwood, Pa. and a son, Richard A. Kunkel, and his wife, Mae of Kempton, Pa. Elva lived long enough to see all of her 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a daughter Marian A. Becker and a son Donald C. Kunkel. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Nester Funeral Home- 8405 Kings Highway ( Route #143), New Tripoli, Pa, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate. Interment in Jacobs Union Cemetery, New Tripoli. In lieu of flowers , contributions in her name are requested to Jacobs Church Memorial Fund, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066.
