Edna E. Bailey, 94 of Hamburg, formerly of Kempton, passed away on. February 1, 2014 in the Laurel Living Center- Hamburg, Pa. She was preceeded in death by her husband Hoyt F. Bailey in 1990. She was born in Weisenberg Township, a daughter of the late Robert C. and Iva M. ( Snyder) Gruber. She was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church, New Tripoli, Pa. and the Kempton Rod and Gun Club. Survivors includes a daughter Lenore E. wife of Ralph E. Shollenberger of Hamburg; two brothers, George S. ( Elsie) Gruber of Orefield and Ralph P. Gruber of Fogelsville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a long time companion, Charles A. Flammer of Hamburg. She was predeceased by her son Richard H. Bailey in 2008 and by siblings Elmer and Howard Gruber , Mary Boger and Eva Herber. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Nester Funeral Home- 8405 Kings Highway ( Rt. 143), New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Raymond J. Hand will officiate. Interment in Weisenberg Luth. Church Cemetery, New Tripoli. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to Weisenberg Luth. Church Memorial Fund, 7685 Weisenberg Church Road, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066.
