Donald J. Fister

Donald J. Fister, 88, of Germansville, PA, passed away at Country Meadows Retirement Community in Allentown, PA, on October 10, 2024. Born in Lynn Township, PA, he was the son of the late Howard J. and Hallie E. (Weaver) Fister.

Donald was a US Army Veteran. He served his country from 1959-1965, including a tour of duty in Germany. Donald worked as a mechanic for Air Products in Allentown until retiring in 2001. After retirement, he greatly enjoyed following the Jimmy Sturr Polka Band, watching the Phillies play, and card playing at the Lehigh County Senior Center in Allentown. He was a UCC member of Jerusalem (Red) Church in Kempton, PA.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Susan D. wife of Frank Ritchie of New Tripoli, PA; son, Kirk D. Fister of Germansville, PA; two granddaughters, Morgan and Samantha Ritchie. He was predeceased by his siblings Raymond Fister and Florence Dysher.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11 AM in Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli. The calling hour will begin at 10 AM. Interment following service in Jerusalem (Red) Church Cemetery, Kempton. Robert J. Billig, Jr. will officiate.
