David R. Hamm, 77, of Lenhartsville, PA, passed away on March 19, 2022 at the Lutheran Home in Topton. Born in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Raymond H. and Pauline K. (Yeager) Hamm. He was a 1962 graduate of Kutztown High School. David was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran, having served two tours of duty aboard the USS Parsons. He was a member of New Bethel Church in Kempton. David worked in the IT Department of Electrospace Fabricators in Topton, until retirement. He was an avid wildlife photographer often taking pictures at the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Kempton and the Middle Creek Wildlife Preserve in Kleinfeltersville, PA. Survivors include his daughter, Megan S. Diedrich of Valrico, FL; granddaughters, Jordan and Lauren, at home; brother, Barry L. (Suzanne) Hamm of Kempton. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Randy Diedrich. There will be a private graveside memorial service at the convenience of the family held on the New Bethel Cemetery in Kempton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s name may be made to the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, sent directly to 1700 Hawk Mountain Road Kempton, PA 19529.
