David R. Hamm

David R. Hamm, 77, of Lenhartsville, PA, passed away on March 19, 2022 at the Lutheran Home in Topton. Born in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Raymond H. and Pauline K. (Yeager) Hamm. He was a 1962 graduate of Kutztown High School. David was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran, having served two tours of duty aboard the USS Parsons. He was a member of New Bethel Church in Kempton. David worked in the IT Department of Electrospace Fabricators in Topton, until retirement. He was an avid wildlife photographer often taking pictures at the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Kempton and the Middle Creek Wildlife Preserve in Kleinfeltersville, PA. Survivors include his daughter, Megan S. Diedrich of Valrico, FL; granddaughters, Jordan and Lauren, at home; brother, Barry L. (Suzanne) Hamm of Kempton. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Randy Diedrich.

SERVICE UPDATE: There will be a graveside memorial service held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM on the New Bethel Cemetery, 135 New Bethel Church Road Kempton, PA 19529. Rev. Robert Ziehmer will officiate.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s name may be made to the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, sent directly to 1700 Hawk Mountain Road Kempton, PA 19529.
