David Blose, Sr. Obituary

David S. Blose, Sr., 86, of Palmerton, PA., formerly of New Tripoli, PA, passed away on February 28, 2023 at the Scenic View Personal Home in Palmerton. Born in Washington Township, PA, he was a son of the late Stanley N. and Helen J. (Walters) Blose. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Miller) Blose for over 63 years. He was a 1951 graduate of Slatington High School and then went on to serve his country in the US Army from 1956-1959. David worked as a sewing machine mechanic for Halsen Products Inc. in Slatington, until retiring in 1993. He was a member of New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Tripoli.

In addition to his loving wife, Shirley, survivors include his daughter, Sheri Lynne (Richard) Roth of Germansville; grandchildren, Evan Roth of Cumbola, PA, and Stevie Lynne (Michael) Rodriguez of Cropseyville, NY; great-grandchild, Roman Rodriguez; sister, Frances H. Heil of Kempton. He was predeceased by his son, David S. Blose, Jr., and siblings, Claudine Snyder and Leroy Blose.

Per David’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life luncheon on March 10, 2023 at noon in Jacob’s Church Social Hall, 8373 Kings Highway New Tripoli.
