Cherie L. Ziegler

Cherie L. Ziegler, 55, of Slatington, PA. passed away unexpectedly at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA. on September 18, 2020. She was the longtime companion of Shawn K. Mulligan, with whom she shared 20 years together. Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Linda C. (Velcich) Ziegler. Cherie enjoyed time at home with her loving family. She loved putting puzzles together, listening to music, especially Pearl Jam, and playing trivia games. In addition to her loving companion, Shawn, survivors include her two sons, Andrew H. Ziegler and his companion, Amanda Schmall of Allentown, PA., Damon J.E. Ziegler, Sr., and his companion, Arielle E. Williams of Germansville, PA.; three grandchildren, Gryffin R. Ziegler, Haley J.E. Ziegler, and Damon J.E. Ziegler, Jr.; sister, Tammy wife of Harold (Butch) Anthony of Lansford, PA.; niece, Meghan Messner. Due to the current health concerns, there will be a celebration of life gathering held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to help offset Cherie’s final expenses can be sent to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home at 8405 King’s Highway New Tripoli, PA 18066.
