Charles F. Flammer, 82, of New Tripoli, Pa. passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, Pa. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Althea E. ( Wolfe) Flammer in 1990. He was born in Albany Township, Berks County, a son of the late Adam W. and Edna I. (Bailey) Flammer. He was employed as a truck mechanic for the former Alpo Pet Foods Co. of Allentown for many years until retirement. Charles was of the Lutheran faith. He is survived by a daughter Patricia A. Kunkle of New Tripoli, with whom he resided; a son Kermit C. Flammer and his wife Regina of Wescosville, Pa ; a brother Russell F. Flammer of Hamburg; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 7 brothers, 3 sisters and his long time companion Edna E. Bailey. His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Nester Funeral Home- 8405 Kings Highway ( Rt 143), New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Raymond J. Hand will officiate. Interment will be in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown, Pa.
