Carolyn F. (Snyder) Daniels

Carolyn F. Daniels, 87, formerly of Fleetwood, PA, passed away on August 30, 2018 at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, PA.  She was the wife of the late Frank E. Daniels.  She was born in New Tripoli, PA, a daughter to the late Vernon J. and Maggie C. (Fister) Snyder.  She attended Lynn Township Public Schools and was a 1948 graduate of Slatington High School and a 1949 graduate of Allentown Business College. Carolyn was employed by radio station WSAN in Allentown and was also secretary to the Dean of Kutztown University for 14 years, eventually retiring in 1973.  She was a member of St. Paul’s UCC Church Fleetwood.  She was also a member of the East Penn Chapter # 336 Order of Eastern Star, Kutztown and AASR, Ladies Auxiliary, PP. of De Molay Commandry and 9 Ladies Auxiliaries, West Reading.  She was a member of the “Foxy” Ladies and enjoyed traveling to various Masonic events with her husband.  Survivors include a nephew, Gary Snyder of Three Springs, PA.; four nieces Karen wife of Mark Williams of Pricetown, PA., Alice Shomgard of Blandon, PA., Ellen wife of John Seidt of Sinking Springs, PA., and Susan wife of Dwight Bige of Blandon, PA. Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Snyder; two nephews, Donald Snyder, Jr., and Jerry Snyder; and a niece, Linda Snyder.  Carolyn’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM. in St. Paul’s UCC Church, 5 West Arch Street Fleetwood, PA 19522, with a calling hour to begin at 10:00 AM.  Interment immediately following the service at Jacobs Union Cemetery, New Tripoli, PA.  Rev. John Folk will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made directly to Masonic Learning Center, 310 South 7th Street West Reading, PA 19611 AND/OR St. Paul’s UCC Church Memorial Fund at address above.
