Brian A Bond, 70, of Kempton, Pa. passed away , Tuesday, August 20, 2013 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital- Allentown, Pa. He was the husband of Riemke J.( Tigchelaar)
Bond. They celebrated their 46 th. wedding anniversary this past April. He was born in Lynn Twsp, Pa. a son of Marian E.( Fetherolf) Bond of Kempton, Pa. and the late Nevin A. Bond. Brian was a self employed farmer in Albany Twsp. for over 50 years. He also was the former owner of the Bond Tax Preparation Service, Kempton, Pa. for 50 years retiring in 2010. He served his country honorably with the U.S. Army, during the Viet Nam War. Brian was a 1961 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He was a member of the New Bethel Church, Kempton, Pa. where he currently served on the church cemetery board and as a former Deacon. He will be remembered and respected for his honesty and generous advice. Survivors besides his wife and mother includes two daughters, Jennifer H. wife of Christopher T. McKenrick of Bellefontaine, OH.; Julie E. wife of Timothy R. Kloehn of Palos Heights, ILL.; a sister, Rosemary wife of Jay C. Drey of Kutztown; four brothers, Jeffrey N. Bond, David M ( Deborah) Bond, Jonathan C.( Kelly) Bond all of Kempton and Gary E.(Jan) Bond of Kutztown; also his four loving grandchildren, Jacob,Lucas, Anna and Ian and 21 nieces and nephews. His Funeral Service will be held on Sat. August 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM. in New Bethel Church , 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton, Pa. 19529, with Rev. David W. Blitch officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Calling hours Friday, 6 to 8 PM. in the Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway ( Rt. 143) New Tripoli, Pa. 18066. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions in his name to New Bethel Church Memorial Fund in care of the above church address.
