Benjamin F. “Benjie” Dietrich, 80 of Kempton, Pa, passed away on July 25, 2014 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest- Allentown, Pa. He was the husband of Marie (Balliet) Dietrich and they celebrated their 55th wedding aniversary in August of 2013. He was born on the family farm in Lynn Township, a son of the late Norman H and Annie M. (Dannenhower) Dietrich. Benjie worked for Freemans Dairy, for 29 years as a milk hauler and later as a bus driver for Carl Bieber Tourways, Kutztown until retiring in 1999. He also helped on the family farm in Lynn Township which is now Leaser Lake. He was of the Lutheran Faith. He was a 1952 Graduate of Slatington High School , as well as being a member of the Lynnport Fire Co. and the Albany Twsp. Historical Society.He won awards at the FFA National Convention in Kansas City in 1950. Survivors besides his wife includes a daughter Audrey J. wife of Michael Marich; two sons Dennis B.( Mary Jean) Dietrich and Randy L. ( Karen) Dietrich all of Kempton, and grandchildren, Casey, Benjamin,Austin, Julie , Haley and Jonathan. He was predeceased by his sister Miriam Klingaman. Special thanks to Dr. Ramic, Dr. Pandey and nurses Amanda and Katie and the staff of the 3rd floor. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Nester Funeral Home- 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate, with interment following in the Jacobs Union Cemetery
