Archie J. Waidelich, Jr.

Archie J. Waidelich, Jr., 88, of New Tripoli, PA passed away on July 11, 2022 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown. He was the widower of Lillie (Williams) Waidelich, who passed away in 2014. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Archie J. Waidelich, Sr. and the late Ruth (Hamm) Waidelich. Archie was a 1952 graduate of Kutztown High School. He later worked as an equipment operator for Penn DOT in Allentown for twenty-one years until retiring. Prior to that, he worked at the US Steel Co. in Fairless Hills, PA. He was a lifetime member of the Newtown Lodge # 427 F & AM in Bucks County. Survivors include his daughters, Ruthanne L. (Roy) Kunkel of Kempton, and Sandra L. (William) Daniels of New Tripoli; sons, Thomas J. (Sonia) Waidelich of Bloomsburg, and Gary C. Waidelich of Allentown; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. His funeral service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA 18066, with a calling hour to begin at 1:00 PM. Interment in New Bethel Union Cemetery, Kempton. Rev. Tad Schlegel will officiate.
