Ann L. (Balliet) Bowers

Ann L. Bowers, 84, of Bethlehem, PA, formerly of Slatington, PA, passed away on October 14, 2024 at Bethlehem South Skilled Nursing Facility. She was the widow of Harry Bowers, Jr, who passed away in 2022. They were married for 63 years. Born in New Tripoli, PA, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Merryl L. (Fatzinger) Balliet.

Ann worked as a sales associate for the former Sears Department Store in Whitehall, PA until retiring in 1997. She was a member of Ebenezer UCC Church in New Tripoli.

Survivors include her daughter, Denise (David) Knittle of Lansford, PA; brothers, Donald M. (Susan) Christ of New Tripoli, and Lee Roy Christ of Slatington; sister, Barbara Rauch of New Tripoli; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Bowers of Slatington, as well as, several other sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; daughter-in-law, Deborah Bowers of Emmaus, PA; grandchildren, Shannon, Farrah, and Kyle; two step-granddaughters, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her son, Randy Bowers, and her sister, Marlene Koenig.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 1 PM at Ebenezer Union Cemetery, 7293 Decatur Street New Tripoli, PA 18066. Pastor Walter Frisch will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer UCC Church sent directly to the address above.
