David M. Henninger, 75, of DeLand, FL., formerly of Kempton, PA. passed away on December 11, 2019 after a brief hospitalization. He was the husband of Patricia Searing, with whom he celebrated 36 years of marriage. He was born in Lenhartsville, PA., a son of Pauline (Fetherolf) Henninger and the late Miles D. Henninger. After graduating from Kutztown Area High School in 1962, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving on the USS Francis Marion until 1964. David began his lifelong career in Procurement with Mack Trucks, which eventually led to him receiving a lifetime Certified Purchasing Management designation. He was also a 1982 BS graduate of Wilmington College, Wilmington, DE. Upon retirement, David and Pat enjoyed full-time RVing until settling in Deland, FL. in 2019. He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Orange City, Fl., where he was very involved in serving. His passion was to serve his community, especially Veterans throughout his travels. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his daughter, Dawn, wife of Lahcen Fahim of Kutztown, PA.; stepdaughter, Janet (McNally) wife of Steven Clayton of Chicago, IL.; stepson, Steven McNally husband of Morgane (Fruwirth) of Carmel, CA.; grandchildren, David and Laila Fahim, Alec and Jessica Clayton, and Jared, Margot, and Jason McNally; sisters, Darlene wife of Jerry Berk and Sandra wife of Kermit Bauscher, both of Kempton, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Dallas Henninger. He will be remembered by his love of the USA, his kindness and ability to make others laugh. He is well-loved and deeply missed. A private service will be held at a later date.
