Kathryn C. (Schaible) Lounsbury

Kathryn C. Lounsbury, 80, of New Tripoli, PA, passed away in her home on January 6, 2024. She was the wife of Ralph E. Lounsbury. They celebrated 48 years of marriage on June 28, 2023. Born in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Adam L. and Anna Mary (Flynn) Schaible.

Kathryn retired in 2005 from New Tripoli Bank. Formerly, she worked for Hess’s Department Store. She was a member of New Bethel Church in Kempton, where she served on the Council, taught VBS, and was a Sunday School Treasurer. Kathryn was an EMT volunteer with Northwestern Ambulance Corps and volunteered at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Beata F. Wirth and husband John of Whitehall; grandson, Daniel J. Wirth and wife Madelyn of Florida; grandson-in-law, Mark Kleibscheidel of Allentown; great-grandchildren, Theresa, Jonathon and Jameson Kleibscheidel, and Jack Wirth. She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Elizabeth (Wirth) Kleibscheidel. Kathryn was one of thirteen children and is survived by a sister, Anna Smith, and a brother, Bernard Schaible.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at New Bethel Union Cemetery in Kempton. Memorial contributions in Kathryn’s name may be made to her church, sent c/o Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA 18066.
