Wilma A. (Serfass) Mohr

Wilma A. Mohr, 80, of Kempton, formerly of Alburtis and Breinigsville, passed away at her residence on May 2, 2107, in the presence of her loving family. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Mohr, who died in 2002.  She was born in Palmerton, a daughter of the late Jacob F. and Sallie E. (Bollinger) Serfass.  Wilma was a member of Ziegels U.C.C. Church, Breinigsville, PA where she was a former choir member, Sunday school teacher, member of the Mission Response group as well as a kitchen helper and baker, being well known for her sticky buns and chicken pot pie soup that she made for church events.  She was a member of the Tops Club, Trexlertown and a former member of the Seipstown Grange and a former leader of the Fogelsville 4-H Club. She is survived by her daughter Donna L., wife of Dale W. Kistler, Kempton; three sisters, Elizabeth Trexler, Allentown, Emma Fink, Bowmanstown and Ruth wife of Carl Hausman, Walnutport; two brothers Walter (Sandy) Serfass , Bowmanstown and Albert (Donna) Serfass of Palmerton; a sister in law Sharon Serfass of Thornhurst and two grandchildren, Rebecca Kistler and Michael Kistler and his companion Denise Leibensperger. She was predeceased by siblings Pauline and Dolores Serfass and Jacob Serfass, Jr.  Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Ziegels U.C.C. Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Rd., Breinigsville, Pa. 18031, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM.  Rev. Jeffrey P. Kistler will officiate. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.  Arrangements by the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, New Tripoli, PA . In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory are requested to Ziegels U.C.C. Church Memorial Fund, sent to the above church address and/or to Heartland Hospice, 2201 Ridgewood Road, Suite 180, Wyomissing, Pa. 19610.
