John A. Lindahl, 69, of Whitehall, Pa. passed away on August 15, 2015 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Rhonda E. (Hamm) Lindahl, having celebrated their 41st wedding aniversary in June of 2015. He was born in Lansdale, a son of the late Carl A. and Sylvia (Gill) Lindahl. He was a truck dispatcher for Brentagg Northeast, Reading Pa., for 30 years retiring in 2011. John was a 1964 graduate of North Penn High School, Lansdale. He was also a member of Jacobs Church, New Tripoli. He faithfully and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Navy. Survivors besides his wife includes a son, Matthew C. and his wife Marie Elaina, of Emmaus; a sister Carole L.wife of Charles Hallman, Pottstown; grandchildren Evan and Olivia Lindahl and his mother-in-law Marion F. (Reitz) Hamm, of Germansville. His Funeral Service will be held onWednesday, August 19, 2015 at 11:00AM in Jacobs Church, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate. Interment, with military honors, will take place in the adjoining cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions in his name are requested to Jacobs Church Memorial Fund, sent in care of the above church address.
