Ernest F. Dietrich, 90, of New Tripoli, passed away on April 25, 2015 in the Cornerstone Living Center, New Tripoli. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice M. ( Fetherolf) Dietrich in 1989. He was born in Lynn Township, a son of the late Edgar H. and Mabel ( Fenstermaker) Dietrich. Ernest was a lifelong self employed farmer in Lynn Township. He also worked as a truck driver for the former Freemans Dairy, Allentown, from 1967 to retiring in 1987. He was a 1943 graduate of Slatington High School. He was also a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Jerusalem Red Church, Kempton, Pa.
Survivors includes a daughter, Doris A. wife of Leroy Koch, New Tripoli, a son, Lester E. ( Jan) Dietrich, Allentown; a brother, Nevin G. Dietrich of New Tripoli; five grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Edna Bauscher and a companion, Grace E. Rauch.
His funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Nester Funeral Home- 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa.18066. Interment will take place in Jerusalem Red Church Cemetery, Kempton, with Robert J. Billig, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory are requested to Cornerstone Living, 4605 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066.
