Betty J. Rump, 88, of Sellersville, formerly of Krumsville, Pa. passed away in her residence on Friday, August 4, 2017. She was the widow of Harlan L.”John” Rump, who died in 1987. She was born in Albany Township, a daughter of the late William and Elva (Knepper) Kunkel. She was employed as a machine operator for the former Deisher Knitting Mill in Kutztown. She was of the Lutheran faith. Betty is survived by five daughters, Nancy J. Kramer and her companion, Donald Hartman of Alburtis, Barbara A. Jenkins, Sellersville, with whom she resided, Larue (Robert) Tierney, Phoenix, AZ, Brenda (Duane) Hopkins, Kutztown and Donna Brown, Reading, Pa; two sons, Harlan W. (Eileen) Rump, Orwigsburg and Andrew (Patricia) Rump, Krumsville; a brother, Richard (Mae) Kunkel, Kempton; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and14 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, John David and David Wayne Rump and siblings Marion Becker and Donald Kunkel. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa.18066, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Dr. Jan Remer-Osborn will officiate. Private Interment.
