Arlene M. (Henry) Berk

Arlene M. Berk, 95, formerly of Kempton, passed away in the Lutheran Home at Topton on Wednesday, April 27, 2016.  She was preceeded in death by her husband Marvin H. Berk in 2005.  She was born in Lynn Township, a daughter of the late Claude and Hattie(Frey) Henry.  She was last employed at Deka Batteries Co., Lyons, Pa.for 11 years retiring in 1986.  Prior to that she was employed at the former Talbot Knitting Mill, Reading, Pa.  Arlene was a member of Jacobs Church, New Tripoli, Pa. and a life member of the Topton Lutheran Home Auxilliary. She is survived by a son Jerry L. and his wife Darlene A. ( Henninger) Berk of Kempton, Pa. and a granddaughter, Corrie T. Berk of Pittsburg, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Mark Henry, Evelyn Lutz and Florence Dietrich.  Her funeral service will be held on Monday May 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8404 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM.  Interment will take place in Jacobs Union Cemetery, New Tripoli, Pa. Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate.  In lieu of flowers contributions, in her memory, are requested to Jacobs Church Memorial fund sent to 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066.
